Abstract: The technology is evolving at a very fast pace and has revolutionized every sphere of human existence. Researchers have made significant contribution in changing the face of the kitchens. Right from automated appliances to customized kitchens, everything has been revolutionized. We have reviewed and analyzed the different schemes or methodologies which have been proposed by different researchers concerned with different types of Monitoring with a goal of creating a customized system which monitors kitchen environment parameters such as light intensity, room temperature, fire detection, motion detection and LPG gas level.
In this review we have tried to analyze only those schemes or methodologies where the researchers have added to subsequent improvement in the existing methodologies The review includes research papers, publications, web sources and other available literature to provide a comprehensive comparative analysis.
