Abstract - Face detection is indispensable for many visual tasks and has been widely used in various practical applications, such as intelligent surveillance for smart cities, face unlocking in smartphones, and beauty filters. However, face detection still has many challenges due to the interference of shooting angle, background noise, image quality, face scale, and other factors. In practical scenarios, the missing detection problem of small- scale faces results in poor performance of former face detectors. Thus, many scholars have launched researches on blurring small-size human faces.
